Gear

Reducer

Single stage worm gear type with 6305 ball bearing to accommodate ball screw thrust. Housing: aluminum alloy

Bearings: worm shaft and Ball Drive shaft both supported on sleeve bearing and ball bearing.

Worm and gear materials: heat treated steel.

Motor coupling: 60-durometer neoprene with two heat treated steel inserts.

Lubrication: permanently lubricated with synthetic grease.

Mounting

Dimensions

85455: minimum retracted centerline mounting dimension is 8.750 plus stroke. For example: a 3.500 stroke unit will  measure 12.250  (8.750 + 3.500) in the retracted position and 15.750 (12.250 + 3.500) in the extended position. A retracted dimension can be specified greater than minimum. For example: a 3.500 stroke unit could be 18.000 in the retracted   position and 21.500 (18.000+ 3.500) in the extended position.  Design options add to the minimum retracted dimension:

85456: minimum retracted centerline gearbox mounting hole to nut shoulder is 6.875. For example: a 3.500 stroke unit will measure 6.875 in the retracted position and 10.375 (6.875 +3.500) in the extended position. A retracted dimension can be specified greater than the minimum. Design options add to the minimum retracted dimension: With the alternate nut, the minimum retracted centerline gearbox mount hole to the centerline of the .505 holes is 7.188 (6.875 + .313). When the alternate nut is reversed, this minimum dimension will be 4.106
